New slides from the Hubble Space Telescope show star forming regions in the galaxy and the existence of planetary accretion disks. Diagrams and artwork trace the origin of atmosphere and conditions prior to the emergence of life including comets, influx of carbonaceous matter, the structure of DNA, the DNA replication process, and the Urey-Miller experiment. The remaining slides show rare fossil specimens of primitive microorganisms found in earth's oldest rocks, and specimens made in the lab that closely mimic these primitive cells.
