Trilobites dominated the first two periods of the Paleozoic and their exoskeletons are well preserved. This slide set reflects their dominence by including some of the best known trilobites. Several slides are devoted to the Burgess Shale , showing Hallucigenia, Anomalocaris canadensis, Waptia fieldensis, Aysheaia, Marrella and more. Other slides show early crinoids, sponges, jellyfish, graptolites and archaeocyathids.
